Mask dangling from my chin, I pedaled my bike up the pristine single track on a trail just outside of our hometown in McCall, Idaho. As I rounded a corner in the woods, I noticed two hikers coming towards me. I pulled up my mask and, as I got closer, nodded a greeting.
“Good for you,” said one of the mid-seventy female hikers. “You’re wearing your mask.”
“Thank you,” I said.
As I biked quickly away, I wondered, but why aren’t you?
