He didn’t bother to reply, just took off through the woods at Huffman Park.
It was only 6 p.m., but it was late January—so it was dark and cold. This night, there was a layer of snow on the ground and the moon shone down—we really only needed the headlamps to see tree roots and other tripping hazards—like ice.
