The 45-year-old man bounced into the high school conference room—ready to pitch us on why he should be next head football coach. He didn’t appear to be overly fit. He didn’t seem to be dressed as sharply as I would have thought for a job interview. But, he was smiling and bounding around the room to shake hands, and get through the pre-interview pleasantries.
He sat in his seat, fidgeting a bit as the athletic director went over the outline for the interview and then asked him if he was ready to give his presentation.
He seemed to jump out of his seat. He strode to the projector and started talking.
