Husqvarna and Daniel Stowe Conservancy partner for a greener future

Parks, gardens, and recreational facilities today face increasing pressure to manage large grounds efficiently, while meeting environmental and sustainability goals. Daniel Stowe Conservancy in Belmont, N.C., provides a strong example of how strategic partnerships can support both operational needs and long-term environmental stewardship.

By collaborating with Husqvarna—a global leader in outdoor power equipment with its North American headquarters nearby in Charlotte—Stowe has taken meaningful steps toward low-noise, low-emission maintenance across its 380 acres of conserved land while fostering community engagement.

About Daniel Stowe Conservancy

For 25 years, Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden has served the region as a place to connect with nature. More than 115,000 visitors come to the garden annually to experience its landscapes, learn about local ecology, or celebrate weddings and special events.

In recent years, Stowe has strengthened its mission as a conservation-minded nonprofit organization. In spring 2025, it introduced a refreshed brand identity, a plan to roll out a new governing board, and several redesigned spaces—including the Children’s Adventure Trail and Prairie Castle Playground, an updated Big Leaf Café + Shop, and the Farmhouse Garden Center.

These enhancements mark Phase I of a multiyear plan to expand educational programming, increase sustainable practices, and welcome even more visitors in the years ahead—all driven by one purpose: inspiring a love of nature and its beauty through unforgettable outdoor experiences.
